HOW TO APPLY

Application Process

The steps to apply to volunteer with Empower A Child are easy.

• 1. Download an application.
• 2. Fill out application and provide 3 references.
• 3. Email application to abbie@empower-a-child.org
• 4. After reviewing your application we will contact you to set-up a phone interview.
• 5. Upon approval you will receive a letter of acceptance and you will start working with our MST/STM Coordinator on all the details of your trip.

NOTE: The longest part of this process is usually waiting for your references to get back to us. Please be patient with us in this process and be willing to work with us if we email you and ask you to contact some of your references and politely encourage them to email back their reference and comments.

Application Deadline:

Short-Term Missions

Three months before trip departure date. Late applications will be considered upon availability. This deadline is for the applicant’s benefit to allow you enough time to fundraise for your trip. We find 3 to 4 months to fundraise for a trip like this is ideal. So the sooner you apply, the sooner we can review your application and make a decision, the sooner you can be accepted and start fundraising.

Ministry Support Team

There is no deadline for these applications however, the earlier you apply the better. We have a limited number of spaces in the Empower A Child guesthouse and if you desire to volunteer between specific dates and all beds are filled in the house during those dates you may be asked to consider other dates.
